About Us

Jennie’s Chesapeake Gymnastics Club started out as a program in conjunction with the local Parks and Recreation division, offering basic gymnastics and tumbling to the children of Calvert County in area schools and Community Centers. As the population of Calvert County and surrounding areas grew, Jennie Hinton saw a need for more significant gymnastics instruction and an interest in competitive gymnastics. This led Jennie to leasing space in a local industrial park where she set up two gyms; the upper gym with the 40x40 spring floor, tumble track and assorted tumbling equipment, and the lower gym with an arrangement of gymnastics equipment such as vault, uneven bars, balance beams and parallel bars. The gymnastics club continues to grow and Jennie’s future plans include an all new, expanded facility to be built in Huntingtown in late 2012.
